I’ve been on a mini-hiatus for the past week and a half as I try to sort out things for the holidays.  As life settles and the holiday craziness dies down, I’ll leave you all with a few of my recent favorite blogs and websites to check out before my full return to the blogging world in a week or so.  Feel free to let me know which ones you enjoy and if you have any to recommend, I’d love some new sites and blogs to browse.

A major thanks goes out to Elaine Carroll for creating one of the funniest web series out there right now.  If you didn’t guess already, it’s centered around Mary-Kate Olsen.  It’s hard to resist laughing at the hilarity that is Mary-Kate and her relationship with Bodyguard in the series.  Here’s a taste of what to expect:

Created by renowned photographer Nick Knight, Show Studio is exactly what is says it is, “The Home for Fashion Film.”  The film on the top of my list, Nick Knight’s tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.  Visually stunning and perfectly fitting for such an incredible designer.  Check it out here: To Lee, With Love, Nick – SHOWstudio
Be sure to check out some of the other amazing films that can be found on the site as well as an interview with Lady Gaga.

If you are a wedding fanatic, be prepared to have your mind blown watching these videos of exquisite ceremonies.  American Cinema is comprised of a group of filmmakers whose goal is to preserve and capture some of the most important days of one’s life in a cinematic format.  If you’re sceptical, check out the film they did on model Coco Rocha’s wedding day here: http://vimeo.com/14245277

Whether you were born in the 90s or are just someone with an appreciation for all things 90s related, this is the site for you.  There are some surprising facts on there for example, did anyone know that the voice of Shredder in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tv show was that of Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince?  Quite the shocker.

For those looking to indulge their taste palates, check out my friend Alex’s blog complete with delicious recipes that are sure to make your mouth water.  My personal favorite, the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins.  Yum!

This blog is so adorable.  It features illustrations by the incredibly talented Sophie Blackall that are based on Missed Connection posts from Craig’s List.

Whether you’re still in school or looking to gain experience in a new field, NY Creative Interns is the perfect place to not only find great posts from their network of contributors on all things internship related, they also post numerous internship opportunities in such areas as Graphic Design, Fashion, Marketing, and PR to name a few.  Congrats to my friend’s Emily and Reb who are two of the founders.  They also hosted quite the successful event at the Wix Lounge about two weeks ago which was a great networking events.  Check out my headshot from the event compliments of Galo Delgado:
